Homewood U18 Takes 3rd Place at AYSA State Cup
U18 team before state semifinal
The U18 men swept their bracket and walked away with nine points from three games only allowing one goal, eliminating the number one seed in the process. After going down early in the semi-final, and equalizing twice, the game entered overtime.
After twenty minutes, the game was still level and went to PKs. Unfortunately, Homewood was eliminated but, still finished the season in an impressive 3rd place. Well done, guys.

Homewood U14 Takes 2nd Place at AYSA State Cup
2nd place picture after 3-0 L to Mobile
The U14 Boys made it to the final after sweeping the preliminary weekend and winning their semi against Briarwood with four unanswered goals after allowing an early chance inside their box.
However, they faced tougher opposition the next morning with a stout team from Mobile. The game ended 3-0 in favor of the port city. However, a great end to a fantastic season — congratulations on second place.

U11 Freedom Wins 2008-2009 AYSA State Cup Championship
On May 3, 2009 the Homewood U11 Freedom won the championship game of the U11 A Division to complete a series of four victories in a two day period.
The AYSA State Cup is an annual state tournament to determine the Championship Team for the State of Alabama.
