What is it like playing in our Recreational (Red Teams) Program?

 
  • Teams practice 2x a week for an hour and a half
  • Most Practices are 4:30-6 or 6-7:30
  • Practices anticipated to start in late February or early March dependent on the "Futures League" dates and team schedule
  • Teams play games on Fridays and weekends in the "Futures League" run by the Alabama Soccer Association. All games are within Greater Birmingham Metro area
  •  League announces schedule!

  • March 15th, 16th, 17th
  • April 5th, 6th, 7th
  • April 12th, 13th, 14th
  • April 19th, 20th, 21st
  • April 26th, 27th, 28th
  • May 3rd, 4th, 5th
  • May 10th, 11th, 12th

All players will need:
 

  • Soccer Ball (9U-12U Size #4, 13U and older Size #5)
  • Water Bottle
  • Shin Guards - Required
  • Soccer Cleats (No Baseball or Football cleats allowed)
  • Girls*** No earring permitted during games per league rules

All Registration is online but if you need to register in person you can do so at our office by clicking link above! 

The goal of our Red or "Recreational" program is to create a learning atmosphere that is fun and creates a passion for the sport. Success in the program is based on enjoyment and improvement not on wins and losses.
 
Everybody plays as equal minutes as possible regardless of ability. The hope is that all of our participants should they wish to can one day potentially transition into the competitive program.
